Still The Best!

A Beautiful, Original Mercedes-Benz 250CE Coupe - an eye catching icon of 1960’s German design.

A classic pillarless coupe with beautiful proportions and an elegant style that never gets old. A car that was immediately successful on launch and is still a motoring icon today.

The Mercedes-Benz company tag line “The Best or Nothing,” perfectly sums up the W114 and W115 chassis Mercedes sedans and coupes introduced in 1968. In fact, the 250 CE was the first car that Mercedes engineered in the post-war period. It came from the desk of designer Paul Bracq and is widely regarded as the ancestor of the modern E-Class, has bomb-proof build quality, and is considered to be one of the most reliable cars ever made.

ABOUT THIS CAR

This 250CE is an excellent example. Pretty much been garaged all its life, it has zero rust and has had three owners in the last 27 years.
Motor reconditioned, bodywork all repaired, repainted and upholstery renewed 33449 miles ago
Comes with a Bosch D-Jetronic fuel injection system – the first time Mercedes-Benz used a fully-electronic fuel injection system in a production car.
It is in great condition. The interior is extremely well-kept and is finished in MB-Tex material. MB-Tex is a vinyl material developed by Mercedes-Benz, which is durable and easier to clean than leather. There are also new carpets and all switches, dials and buttons are in working order.
This car is powered by an M 114 920 6-cylinder 2496cc engine mated to an automatic gearbox
This classic Mercedes-Benz coupe has a really sporty elegance to it and gets better looking with age.
Being Mercedes, these cars are not only great classics but epically reliable. Parts availability is excellent, with virtually everything available from Mercedes. There is also an understated elegance about these coupes that seems to say that the owner is someone who appreciates the very best but doesn’t need to shout about it.

For those not in the know, earlier Mercedes coupes are now trading for more than $60K in the US. The 250C is quite rare with only 8,624 total examples built from 1969 until 1973.

Worth noting that Pele, the coolest footballer of all time, drove a four-cylinder version at the height of his fame in 1970. So go on…be like Pele :)

A great investment and a stunning car to drive.

Car will be sold WOF’d and Registered.
